New Year's Trip to Florida

Tony had a conference in Florida, so Anya and I
decided to join him for fun.

Getting ourselves pumped up for Daddy's company meet & greet.
Anya just out of the pool!

Checking out funky hotel lobby chair.

 Chillin' in Michael's hammock.

Bayfront Park in downtown Miami.

Michael was kind enough to entertain us in Miami
while Tony met with clients (aka golfed).

Alexa and Emily used to love riding this same donkey in front of
their grandfather's house, when they were Anya's age.
George Barket has not changed a bit in all the years I've known him!
Anya and Lynda on the computer.

Tim and Viv.

Great night catching up with Lourdes. We worked together in Miami
at Carnival Cruise Lines over 20 years ago. Wow, that makes us sound
old, Lou!
Lou's daughter Kennedy.

Each morning Anya and I hit the A1A for a walk and
some oatmeal.

Anya loved the oatmeal, but was more intrigued with the birds that
joined us each day for breakfast (pirched on top of chair).

Anya was so excited to spot the Goodyear blimp!

Anya fell madly in love with Michael and Sonya's dog Scout.

Tony and Anya toasting at Shula's on the Beach in Ft. Lauderdale.

We watched the sunrise in Miami and saw the sunset in Bellingham
all in one day. We came home to a winter wonderland.

Christmas 2010

Making Grinch Christmas ornaments with Alexa.

Writing Christmas list and note to Santa.

Santa tucked in the Grinch and Biscuit the dog after leaving
 Anya's gifts.

 Christmas morning!

Alexa can't decide which she loves more - new boots or Nike's.

Tony's faves: Red Ryder bb gun (no, no one got their
eye shot out), cigar, and slippers.

Alexa was in charge of building the gingerbread house.

Alexa bribes Anya with swedish fish, in order to
french braid her hair.

Success!

Quick trip to Pike Place Market.

 Baking Christmas cookies with Alexa.

 Reading with Eileen, of course.

WWU Art professor Cara Jaye, planned a New Year's Eve art project
for Anya and Coco. It was a big hit!

 Gorgeous sunset on South Hill.

Tony and his sous chef. She loved her new apron!

Telling the snowman goodbye until next year.
